Yarra Valley Vineyard, Post-Peter….

The advent of a new leader at the helm of Yarra Valley Vineyard has brought about a new ‘Visions and Values’.

The Vision:

To reach our world for Jesus by growing in faith, offering hope and acting in love.

The Values:

  1. Loving God through a life-style of worship.

  1. Investing in relationships is essential

  1. Using spiritual gifts to build others up.

  1. Engaging the next generations

  1. Developing servant-leaders.

  1. Sacrificing for God’s mission.

  1. Caring for those in need.

  1. Depending on God in prayer.

Complementary to the new ‘Vision and Values’ is a Blog!  Where it is hoped there might be a bit of discussion about the vision and values. (I’ll just leave a trackback, if it is turned on).

It looks as if there was certainly a bit of consultation, 5 months worth. Short and sweet vision, I like that. I’m just wondering when the 8 week sermon series will beginning with the values!

I suppose for me with values there is always a chance that you will miss somthing important out. Or the values are more of wish list for an organisation rather than reflective of what the organisation really is. From what I know of Yarra Valley, having left just over four year ago it is probably a bit of both. Highlighting strengths and weakness.
