I’ve just re-listened to Leonard Sweets on his podcast ‘Napkin Scibbles’ on ‘getting out there’

He was talking how he felt to his disappointment that he was moving more away from the edges, the margins.

For me whenever I’ve put myself in places requiring change, which affect in my  comfort.  God usually reveals himself. When things get a bit stale, I know it is time to try something new. I suppose checking out and engaging with the emergent/missional scene has given me a bit of a refreshing the last two years or so. I’m not sure old paradigms I was working in, would have sustained me.

The podcast was good. It also reminded me not to be complacent. Maybe to step out into the margins, engage with those on the edge.
