Rabbit and the Elephant

I’ve been invitied along to be part of a blog tour of a new book coming out called The Rabbit and the Elephant. I’m doing a book review on the 2nd of June. Here is a synopisis of the book by the publishers:

If you put two elephants in a room together and close the door, in 22 months you may get one baby elephant. But two rabbits together for the same amount of time will result in thousands of baby rabbits! In The Rabbit and the Elephant, “micro church” planters Tony and Felicity Dale use the “rabbit” illustration to show the pace at which the Christian faith can (and should) be growing—through evangelism that is explosive and transformational. The Rabbit and the Elephant contains the key to 21st century evangelism—taking the Gospel to where the pain and the people are.

There is going to be a free webinar with Tony and Felicity on Tuesday, May 26 at 9:00 PM ET, at the following web address : http://www.evangelismcoach.org/2009/the-rabbit-and-the-elephant-webinar/

So far the books been good, but the thoughts come out on the 2nd….

  1. First attempt at change:I’m a so called “body builder” employed by a small rural country church in cental Vic. After a failed attempt to help leadership understand the notion of House church and pioneering one for a seasonal try out I was sidelined. Second attempt: Invite any one with a pioneering heart (saved or pre-saved) to a “small” and lets see what God comes up with. Now “small” has no where to go but hopefully get less small – so “small” (which is hopefully better than big amounting to little) is about to ermbark upon a journey toward mission – towards making a difference for the Kingdom of God and who knows, it might initiate many other “smalls” of like mind. By the way one rabbit on the ground represents seven more underneath. Thanks for the ideas, support and encouragement your books and articles have fed our desperate lives. May God Bless you all. Deborah

  2. Hi Deborah,

Thanks for your comment and encouragement. Glad you are trying new things. I get to Bendigo a bit so if you are close by it would be good to hear some of your stories, and what you have tried in your journeys.
